We have a new kitten in the house. The 14 year old and 11 year old are excited and rather distracted, and we haven’t even started our school work for the day. Our 2-year-old cat isn’t so sure about this meowing furball roaming around in her territory, but so far, no one has gotten hurt. It hasn’t even been 24 hours yet, though, so I’m sure we’re in for some interesting times.
And, speaking of time… My 9th grader has about 250 pages to read before 8:00 AM on Friday, 3 days from now. Anybody want to take bets on whether she’ll finish or not? Learning to apply oneself is difficult, isn’t it? Last week when she was in a similar predicament, she finished with the audio version. She will probably have to do the same this week.
I don’t know about you, but I love audiobooks. In fact, that’s how I do most of my reading. The only book I actually read is my braille Bible. Hearing a narrator make characters come alive is a type of escape for me. That is why I endeavor to get all the books I write put into audio.
My latest book, “You Belong to Me” is being put into audio as we speak. A narrator auditioned for it 5 days ago, and I made him an offer the next day. The deadline is Nov. 23, 2019. I’m praying that I will have a complete audiobook before Christmas.
There is something magical about hearing your own story come to life. I mean, I know the story well, but hearing it spoken aloud makes it seem more real. I suppose there is more power in our words than we think.
I have decided that I will never be a good saleswoman. I feel too sorry for people. As a lover of books, I know how important they can be. So, with that in mind, I lowered the kindle price of several of my books to $2.99. If you are interested in seeing which ones are at this price, go to my books page on here and check them out.
Speaking of audiobooks and lowering prices, I have several free download codes for my audiobooks and would be happy to share in exchange for a review. Interested? Comment below or use the contact form on here to get in touch.
Well, my coffee is gone and time’s a-wastin’. There’s school work to do, laundry that needs starting, a new manuscript to write, and a host of other things that need my attention. So glad you dropped by today. Please feel free to search this site, get in touch or read one of my books. Most important, remember to pray. Have a blessed Tuesday, and come back soon.
