Perspective

Dinner could not get done soon enough for me. I was hungry. All I’d had for lunch was a few bites of ice cream. But, the hamburger was thawing from frozen, so my husband couldn’t hurry it. If I had eaten something more substancial for lunch, I wouldn’t have been so anxious. My husband wasn’t as hungry and was focused on other things. He was not as anxious as me. It’s all about perspective.

There is a glass on my kitchen table. In it is some water. My cat is thirsty and nosy, so he hops onto the table to investigate. He doesn’t know that the water has paint in it. From his POV, it’s a drink. From my POV, it needs dumped out. Still talking perspective here.

On earth today we are worried about covid. Mask or no mask. Stay home or go out. Shop online for the holidays and risk not getting it in time, or go to a brick and mortar store and risk getting sick.

On the international Space Station today 4 Americans, one man from Japan and 2 men from Russia are conducting science experiments and learning how to work together in space. They probably take a few minutes to look down on that blue ball called Earth. Yep, perspective.

UP there they experience a sunrise and sunset every 45 minutes. Their clocks are set to GMT time. But, what if they measured time like we do down here, sunrise is morning, sunset is evening, light is day and dark is night? Let that boggle your mind. LOL

What is the perspective from Heaven? What does God see? Hearts, people’s inner most thoughts, the future, the past; He sees it all.

If it were me, I’d take a look at it all and say, “Well, forget it. I know it all anyway.”

Aren’t we all glad, God is not like that?

He looks down on us all and says, “There’s my children! See them, you angels? I love them so much. I’m going to keep calling them to me.”

And that’s what He does. He calls us to take our perspective and set it aside for His.

One of my favorite verses is Luke 12:32, “Fear not, little flock; for it is

your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Kingdom perspective. Access to God’s kingdom. Don’t know about you, but I need to take time to let that sink in.

Be blessed, beloved.
